Privacy statement
Dog Trips handles your data with care. Below you can read which data we collect, why, and what your rights are. This is a translation; if there is any difference, the Dutch version applies.
Who we are
Dog Trips is a trade name of Muse Agency, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 92513735. You can send questions about your data to info@dogtrips.nl.
Which data we collect
We only collect data that you give us yourself:
- Through the forms on this website: your name, email address, details about your dog, your preferred destination, who you travel with and your message. For the brand form also the name of your brand and your website or Instagram.
- Through the waiting list: your email address.
- Through WhatsApp or email: what you send us, and your phone number or email address.
- When you book: the data needed to arrange the trip, such as the details of the travellers and your dog (for example breed, weight and passport details if a carrier or accommodation asks for them).
What we use your data for
- To answer your request and send you a proposal.
- To arrange and book a trip or travel plan for you and your dog with accommodation, carriers and other parties needed for the trip.
- To inform you about new group trips if you have joined the waiting list.
- To meet legal obligations, such as our administration.
We do not use your data for other purposes and do not sell it to third parties.
Who we share data with
- Accommodation, carriers and other parties needed to arrange your trip. They only receive what is needed for the booking.
- Netlify, where this website is hosted and where the completed forms are stored.
- Google Fonts, from which this website loads fonts. Your IP address may reach Google in the process.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you contact us through WhatsApp.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools. Only technically necessary data is processed to make the website work.
How long we keep data
We keep requests that do not lead to a trip for a maximum of one year. We keep booking data for as long as needed for the trip and after that for as long as the law requires, such as the seven-year retention period for our administration. We keep your email address on the waiting list until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data, and you may object to its use. You can also unsubscribe from the waiting list at any time. Send an email to info@dogtrips.nl. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The connection to this website is encrypted and only we have access to the completed forms.
Changes
We may update this privacy statement. The most recent version is always on this page.
